The following General Terms of Business govern the contractual relationship between the participants in WALA events (hereinafter called “Event”) and WALA Heilmittel GmbH (hereinafter called “WALA”). Any differing General Terms of Business of a participant shall not apply.
You can register on the internet or by letter, fax, email or telephone. Your registration is not legally binding until we confirm it in writing. We will send you confirmation of registration after the closing date, together with information on how to find us and particulars of the WALA bank account.
If a participation fee is charged, it will be quoted per person and event date incl. value-added tax. WALA reserves the right to replace scheduled speakers by other speakers and to make any necessary changes to the programme while maintaining the overall character of the Event. Participants will be notified immediately if the Event cannot be held due to force majeure, inability of a speaker to attend, disruptions at the event venue or too few participants. Cancellation due to too few participants will be made no later than two weeks before the Event. In such cases, the fee for the Event will be refunded.
No claim to reimbursement of travel and overnight accommodation costs or to loss of earnings will be accepted, unless such costs are incurred as a result of grossly negligent or intentional actions by WALA. WALA undertakes to take all reasonable steps to contribute to remedying or limiting any disruptions of performance that may occur.
If a fee is to be charged for participation in the event, it will be payable upon receipt of confirmation of registration. Payment must be made by remittance to WALA’s account. Payment cannot be made by forwarding cash or cheques; WALA will not be liable for any losses.
Cancellation (in writing only) can be made at no charge up to seven days before the start of the Event. The full participation fee will be payable if cancellation is made at a later date or if the participant fails to attend the Event. WALA will be pleased to accept a substitute participant at no extra charge. The participant has the right to provide evidence that no loss has been incurred through cancellation or that such a loss is significantly less than the cancellation fee retained by WALA.
Any documents that are handed out at the event or supplied in some other way will be protected by copyright. Reproduction, forwarding or any other use of such documents is subject to WALA’s express written consent.
The Events are carefully prepared and held by qualified authors and speakers. WALA assumes no liability for the topicality, completeness and correctness of the event documents and the performance of the Event.
German law shall apply with exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Insofar as legally acceptable, Göppingen is agreed to be the place of fulfilment and legal venue.
You have the right to withdraw your registration in writing within 14 days of receipt of the confirmation of registration without giving any reason.
No cancellation fees will be charged. The specified deadline will be deemed observed if notice of withdrawal is dispatched before expiry of said deadline to the following address: WALA Heilmittel GmbH, Veranstaltungsmanagement, Postfach 11 91, D-73085 Bad Boll.
This right of withdrawal does not apply if the booked Event has taken place and the participant has attended it.
WALA will protect your personal data. WALA will treat the data provided by participants as confidential and will only use it in compliance with data protection regulations. Personal data includes all the data that is stored in connection with your name. The personal data provided by the participant (first name, last name, address for delivery and address for invoicing, email address, also – depending on method of payment – bank account particulars, credit card number, date of expiry of credit card) will be stored in the customer file by WALA and processed, used and – only to the extent necessary – forwarded to appropriately commissioned third parties for the purpose of rendering performance and drawing up accounts.
