Caraway breathes in a special way. In the first year of its two-year life it draws in the strength of the sun, concentrates it in its carrot-like root and prepares itself for the great exhalation in the second year. Already at the start of the summer it has spread its umbels to collect the sunlight with them once again, to concentrate it in its fruit. Caraway is a plant of the light that warms us, stimulates a metabolism that has waned and invigorates.
In WALA Remedies the caraway is found in a number of preparations against flatulence and digestive disorders, such as for example in Carum carvi suppositories*, Bolus alba comp. powder* and Chelidonium capsules*. Carum carvi child suppositories* have been developed specially for children. Lemon Balm Oil*, which contains caraway oil, has proved to be particularly effective in treating flatulence in infants, and can be rubbed gently onto the infant’s stomach. Caraway has its place in Acne Capsules* from the knowledge that unclean skin is often associated with digestive disorders.
