Use in Skin Care and Remedies

Wood and roots containing flower colour, leaves transformed into thorns, fruits that become increasingly acid as they ripen: things seem rather mixed up in this plant. But that is precisely what makes Barberry a potent medicinal herb. For this plant, a property which is so-to-speak in the wrong place does not mean a disease. The plant copes excellently with these displaced properties and veritably thrives.
The airy flowers are the seat of the light and soul powers, the astral qualities. When the flower colour is found in the roots, the part of the plant belonging to the earth, the plant has so-to-speak sent light into the roots. Barberry therefore has two flower poles or light poles.

For WALA medicines the WALA gardeners collect the fruits in the autumn while in winter they dig out parts of the roots. Barberry strengthens the mucous membranes. It is contained in many WALA medicines for cough and cold symptoms of the upper airways and for inflammatory-deforming manifestations of the urinary tract and the reproductive organs. The processed fruits are contained in WALA Nasal Balm (Nasenbalsam)* and WALA Nasal Balm for Children (Nasenbalsam für Kinder)*. The root is an ingredient of WALA Berberis/Apis comp.* for urinary tract disorders and WALA Chelidonium capsules* for stimulating biliary activity.

Berberis/Apis comp., Globuli velati
Indications: Stimulation of the warmth organism and harmonisation of the interaction between sensitivity and life organisation in inflammatory conditions of the lower urinary tract, e.g. irritable bladder, cystitis.
Warning: This medicinal product contains sucrose and lactose.

Chelidonium comp. Augentropfen (eye drops)
Indications: Harmonisation of the metabolic processes of the eye, e.g. in dry inflammation, irritation and eye strain.

Nasenbalsam (nasal balm)
Indications: Harmonisation of the interaction of sensitivity organisation and life organisation in the region of the mucous membranes of the nasopharynx and the sinuses in conditions involving an impaired ability to dissociate oneself from outside influences and weakness of the life organisation, e.g. acute and chronic inflammation of the mucous membranes, tissue shrinking (atrophy), dryness and irritability.
Warning: In rare cases wool fat can cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).

Nasenbalsam für Kinder (nasal balm for children)
Indications: Harmonisation of the interaction of sensitivity organisation and life organisation in the region of the mucous membranes of the nasopharynx and the sinuses in conditions involving an impaired ability to dissociate oneself from outside influences and weakness of the life organisation, e.g. acute and chronic inflammatory conditions, particularly in infants and children and in the case of particularly sensitive mucous membranes or a tendency to tissue shrinking (atrophy).
Warning: In rare cases wool fat can cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
