It all started in 1935: the Viennese doctor of chemistry Rudolf Hauschka (1891-1969) founded WALA in Ludwigsburg, near Stuttgart, and began to manufacture WALA Medicines. The one-man business has since grown into a thriving company with more than 700 employees, a product range covering around 1000 products and a turnover of 98 million euros (2009).
