On 27 February 2011 Rudolf Steiner would have celebrated his 150th birthday. The founder of Anthroposophy lives on worldwide through his ideas – whether in education, art and architecture, medicine or agriculture. Steiner held more than 5000 lectures throughout Europe, wrote books and found loyal followers amongst well-known personalities of his own and later times – including Rosa Luxemburg (1871-1919), Else Lasker-Schüler (1879-1955), Wassiliy Kandinsky (1866-1944), Albert Einstein (1879-1955) and Christian Morgenstern (1871-1914). As "versatile lateral thinker" as Prof. Dr. Walter Kugler, head of the Rudolf Steiner Archive, calls him, Steiner is today considered one of the most influential reformers of the 20th century. Take a closer look at this special personality and at the events which will be taking place in 2011 to commemorate his 150th anniversary.
